Thought it would be fun to find the first beat I ever posted on Warbeats and now the latest beat of mine. I started making beats back around 2006 but didn't really get involved with Warbeats until around 2007 when I became a lifetime VIP and FL 6 was all the rage.

This first track is when I first approached NFX, he did the mastering on it and added some guitars and bass. Remember this was 2007 and FL 6, also the loudness war was all the rage "way back then" lol Don't judge the tracks based on loudness but rather musicaltiy and you will agree Warbeats and NFX have brought me a long way.

Thank you Nelson! Here is track 1 from 2007 GP and NFX

And here is track 2 from just a couple weeks ago. I put all I had into this second track, as I did the first though and got some help from another guitar playing friend of mine. I'm using FL 10 now and all the great knowledge I've learned from this site. Also not fighting the loudness war and there are plenty of dynamics left in the track. Tell me if you agree that Warbeats is a great site if your looking to improve.

If you don't feel there is an improvement, well maybe I didn't pick the right examples, but I wanted to share with you my first beat here and now my latest beat to date here. I hope you find this interesting and worth your time I'm always looking to learn more and have no where reached where I want to be so keep sharing that great teaching fam and we will all achieve our goals if we want to bad enough!

    Peace!

the piano in the first track sounds like this Abba song, I cant remember which one tho. Sounds like you have changed the second track a little bit since I my comment on soundcloud, and its not that you added vocals

Both sound great, your a very talented musician. Your progress in arranging is what stuck out to me... you gave the instruments space, let them all have time to shine, got into the song quickly, just great arranging on the second one.

Your friend did a fantastic job on the guitar, really enjoyed it. Great job GP! If you could get past the self doubt and produce consistently you'd be a true force to be reckoned with in whatever genre you choose to dominate.

And yes, Warbeats is a great place to learn and grow... I would do this as an example as well, if my first beat I posted here wasn't so embarrassing. lol

Yes 2nd is much better... excuse me while I cringe at the sound of that boo bass in the first one.

Isn't it funny how what we used to think was the bomb is now the dud. You did an amazing job helping me to grow and learn NFX I can't thank you enough. I also can't wait to see five years from now as I plan to keep learning and from what I gather and pray is that warbeats will be around for years to come to help me achieve my goals.

Hopefully others will see by this thread and their own improvement if they really look critically that this site is the bomb and keeps it's promise to drop knowledge that is useful, practical, and worth every minute of time spent here.

It is the members of this site that keep this site strong and the knowledge flowing so I do want to thank everyone that has helped me over the years too. If you are here just "browsing" your missing out big time and you really should get involved, you will only be helping yourself to a greater experience and improving your skills as you help others.
