Now i've been rapping for a year and 10 months and i can honestly say i've become pretty good, but i KNOW for a fact that i still have a long way to go to perfect my craft.
Now, i just wanted to ask, how do i improve on rhyme schemes, metaphors, lyricism, and vocabulary? I've been told by known rappers themselves that my flow is above average, but i would really like to improve on those four things. Any idea on what to do in order to improve them?

Idt this place is super activate, you will probably have to wait

a little bit for a reply. I have a book called 'vocabulary builder'

which you can find with dictionaries. If you hear a word that you

haven't heard before look it up. That will for sure help you

with expanding your vocabulary. Also as you may already know

try working with multi-syllable rhymes. I don't really think there
are ways to improve your metaphors, and lyricism expect
keep practicing, and keep rap in your head. What I mean is
when i go throughout my day I will randomly think of a couple
good lines because someone mentioned something or i did
myself. If you only think about rap when you sit down and
try to write then you may miss out on ideas you might have
received during the day. You probably already know this though.
The last thing i can think of is just in general be smart, read
books ect, don't be afraid to gain new knowledge about something
you might not really care about or don't know about, and
research if you have doubts. Thats all i can really think of
hope i helped a little bit.

lyricism, metaphors and vocabulary can all be improved from reading yes i said reading poetry is filled wit metphors, exstensive vocabulary and even lyrics so by expanding your mind you also begin to expand ur  talent. I thing i use to do when i was alot younger was sumtimes i would write my verses with a thesaurus and dictionary so when i wrote sumthn and wanted to find a better word or a different word to replace sumthn with  i wold go to my thesaurus look for the word I originally wrote and see what words are related to that word then find thier definitions in the dicitonary it increased my vocabulary greatly by doing this. The metaphors comes from u just finding ur own interesting way of making comparisons between two objects. Now as far as rhyme schemes go this just comes from always practicing sharpening ur lyrical sword so to speak ur rhyme schemes will progress the more u write naturally but one way of kinda training urself to find new rhyme schemes is to freetyle alot over various beats try spitting fast try the stutter flow that Luda does alot when u here a song wit an interesting rhyme scheme disect it figure oout how the rhymes are falling together then go try it on ur own. these all thing i use to do years ago to help elavate my skills as a MC

I read the dictionary when I can. Go to a random page and look for a word I don't understand. Read the definition, if you don't understand the words in the definition define them. That'll keep you busy for a while. Then go to the first word and rhyme as many words as you can with it. Verbally, surgery, hurt her knee. Even if it sounds corny which that was, you still practice rhyming syllables. Try slanted rhymes too, corner, foreigner.
