The Warbeats Mixtape,

We tried it two times before, but somewhere along the way we stranded. I took the job upon me to re-arrange, re-execute this project. This time we are going to finish this.

- The Details

In this topic I'm going to explain to u guys, how I want this thing to get off the ground. For the mixtape itself I want a total of 14 tracks on the tape. 14 beats from all typa genres. That means 14 spots or actually 13 spots excluding myself lol . I'm still thinkin' about a nice original title, so if you got suggestions, you are welcome to make 'em ..

We all know that people outside the website look a bit down on Warbeats, and they think we only house noobs and such. With this mixtape I want to show the world we have serious heatmakers on this site. So I ask of you to bring ya A-Game to the table.

I'm going to explain to you what rules to follow to be eligable to submit tracks.

First off lets start with some preparations:

- CC License Name



First off, fill this in. You can find this by clicking on "My Profile" and then on the next screen click on "Edit Profile". Fill in the CC License Name section. I will use this for the credits that will be given on the mixtape itself.

For example mine states: Too Integrated (http://www.toointegrated.com)

- Submission rules

To be able to submit tracks you need to require one of the following:
- A postcount of 150 or higher
- A feedback karma of level gold
- An OG Veteran medal / Or VIP Member (Past) Medal

The reason I chose for these typa requirements is to make sure that only people who did their share of contribution to the site are eligable to earn a spot on the mixtape. I will not stray away from these rules. These are the rules that I have set, so please abide.

In this thread you guys can ask me all kind of questions or maybe help remind me, if I forgot something.

Hmm... Doesn't this mean people with no contribution at all can submit their beats, as long as they were members on the old site?

Also how will mastering of the beats be done?

^ You are right.. but the people who have that medal and are still active, are the same people who contribute So it's all good..

Secondly how I will tackle the mastering will be told to the members within' the group..

It all sounds good to me and I'm really excited but what if my karma thing got screwed with the new site? It just went back to 0... Anyways I can make a video teaser if u guys send me your video files, pictures, and beats. Also what is the goal of this mixtape? are we gonna shop it to potential buyers? just asking

Just curious... are you accepting scores for interludes, intros or outros along with beats, or is this a beat mixtape only? I have some nice scores I could submit for that purpose, but not very many beats that I feel would make it. Thanks!

Sorry for posting on here about this but i'm having the noob problem of not knowing how to create my own post on the forum can anyone school me on this real quick?

@ Nima T: You don't have to worry you have the OG:Veteran medal right.. So you 'are' eligable by default..

@ Retrospect: Scores are allowed but I won't be using them as intro's or interludes but rather more as just actual tracks.. It will make the diversity of the tape much bigger..

@ Genocide: I don't really understand your question about posting.. Plz post in the general discussion forum tho.. I wanna keep this topic clean..

ok I havent submitted anything yet cuz Im not sure… do u want a beat thats like arranged industry standard .. like "Intro-verse-chorus-verse..etc" or like just a good tune? and are these beats gonna be shopped to artists??

^ We want industry standard typa beats.. Unless you're doing something along the lines of a movie score for instance.. Regarding the matter if this will be shopped to artist, my answer would be: "Not directly" .. Seeing how this will be pushed.. artists will pick this up regardless and I will personally see to it that every producer will hear from me if anyone with "status" picks it up and want to record something to it..
