I copped this kit when it was on the old site, it killed my download limit for that month due to the size of it but it was worth it.

not really feeling this one if u want to imitate old school sound them maybe but no 808 wtf most of the samples have to be trimmed they have a air sound at the end the best part is the hats but they still have some fuzzy distort at the end

In case your not joking the 808 is under Roland TR-808...

There are percussion sounds that are used on countless hits on there that have nothing to do with "old school" except knowing the history of the use of the various machines in various music genres. 

The "air" is either controlled with the envelope filter or the "cut by" feature or both depending on how your using the sample (In FL Studio).

No, this kit is not sold by Gold Baby although Hugo has some bangin' 808s and 909s and I love the MPC and SP1200 ish!!!!

Let's say that you did have to trim "most of the samples", o.k. that's still easier than recording all these classic drum machines yourself and still having to trim them yourself anyway.... not sure I get your points?  Unless of course your "gift horse in the mouth" statement was a joke or your about to supply us all with something better (whoo hoo!!!) then nevermind...

Let's make it clear here, that I did not sample these kits (apart from the little secret control kit I have in there to make sure nobody tries to make a buck out of it. Which was sampled from my own hardware.) This kit is a collection of totally free kits that I have collected from the net over the years, sampled and recorded by fellow musicians.

I made the collection because I have so many times seen the same kits been sold on various websites and Ebay, claiming to be this or that super kit or what have you. Yes even some of the bigname companies have included few of these kits in their "vintage" kits. One of them got called out for it not so long ago (google it).

So basicly this was just an effort to make sure people don't needlessly buy free sounds of some shady ebay store. Some of this stuff is still on the net to download as separate packs and some of it is gone since many years.

And no, these are not the kits Goldbaby sells. Hugo is a good friend of this site and his kits are seriously bangin' I'd suggest anyone to check them out.

You didn't sample theses kits? WTF? I feel a lot less special now!!! (LMFAO)
