Has anyone had any experiance with that microphone?
I want a nice looking mic that records good for $200-$300 and that mic caught my attention, im open to other mics too if you've had experiance with the 4000 and some other ones.

Oh and i forgot to mention I will be recording only rap vocals with a mic.

i havnt tried all the mics out there, but i tried a fair share. the mic i like best in that price range is a sE 2200A by sE electronics.

its about 220 dollars i guess, works like a charm for me.

if you get the oprotunity, try mics before buying. what one person likes may be completely different for the other
i once bought a røde NT-2A because alot of peeps i know where all hyped about how clean it was, i ended up pretty dissapointed. simply because it was 'too clean'. too many highs in there that cut out all the warmth

Speaking of nt2a how does the nt1a sound in your guy's opinion? I liked the package deal it came in.

    worse then the nt2a imo

you might like the nt2a if clarity beats warmth in your opinion, but i definitly do not reccomend the nt1a

    Good lookin out bro.

I forgot to mention what ever mic I'll buy is worth craigslist value which is pretty much half of what it's originally worth, but I'll for sure check out the NT2A and that sE mics.
