The wobbles influence WILL be in pop and hip-hop soon.  The Dance/Trance influence is alllllllllllllllllllllll over pop now...dubstep will be next to have an influence.  I don't think dubstep will ever be a huge genre, but the wobbles WILL be.

Britney's new single has a dubstep breakdown...and you know it's gunna blow...so if you wanna be ahead of the curve and not trying to catch up, I'd consider learning it now:

I agree with the idea tha people should learn how to make some wobbles.
Dubstep may not ever be huge, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pretty big and kind of breaks off into different types: one that's more mainstreem and less heavy and maybe has more (electro) house influence, and one that will remain fairly underground (super heavy).

Sadly yes it will propably happen. And like Bash said, even the dubstep community thinks the wobbles are overused, but meh...

    Sabo got 666 posts.

On topic now, I've tried and kind of failed and yes, they're already in the scene. There is an experimental grimey rap group in my country that already crossed over hip-hop and dubstep. While some of the songs are quite dope, some are just boring, that's why I don't like dubstep, it's kind of a trend here right now.

    I like:

This is one of the dopest tracks with dubstep/electro/w/e influences. (one from the very few ones)

You can youtube "nasty wobble" or "dubstep wobble" and find out the basic way to make it (it is essentially an extreme LFO).

A good starting out VST for the wobble is Massive. It's got the grittyness you want
