I chopped up a sample,and made it into a beat and everything. I added drums, and a bassline that follows it. I was wondering i f I should add more instruments to the sample like horns, or whatever. I have no problem with the how the sample is right now, but I was wondering if I should go ahead,and add instruments to it, or keep it like how I like it.

If YOU like how it sounds then just leave it , sometimes less is more.... but if you would like to add more then go for it , you can always take it out again. Also if you want you can take out or mute the sample and see how the beat "stands up" by itself then if you feel it needs more then add more. Hope this helps .

ive also dumped my sample score into piano roll...that can also work wonders as you can change up instruments and be in the same pitch..granted it doesnt work perfectly as you need to do some adjusting..
