I was trying to get some insight on this studio 1 interface mic program combo. Its relativley  cheap $250(Amazon) and i waswondering if you guys would approve. I don't really have much experience with interfaces and stuff like that but for a beginner this seems pretty easy. I actually set it up for a girl friend of mine that sings. So please let me know what you guy think cuz i think it could change a lot. O and if and/or when i get it ill be rapping on my tracks

Here is the link to Studio 1 info I apologize for not including it before. I have read this over and over again and the more i read the more i want it. Also I'm not familiar with all the terms. If you wouldn't mind telling me if its compatible with FL Studios. I know my typing and explanations of things are a little vague but im doing the best i can with the knowledge i have. Thanks for such a quick response.

I was mistaken, I thought this was a mic/mixer/audio device bundle. it looks like it's just a DAW right?

The software itself looks OK to me but I would find out if it supports virtual instruments and effects if thats important to you. I have no doubt it will work just fine for general recording. Looks like have a demo to download too. Be sure and do that first to get a feel for the workflow and if it fits you.

    Thank you.

Wow Thanks for that i had assumed it would be compatible with fl i researched for like an hour and none of the places said anything about rewire n stuff like that. Guess ill have to find somethin else cause i really dont feel like learning an entire new
    DAW all over again.

If i may ask 1 more question. If i were to buy say Samson C03U-PAK Recording Studio Computer USB Mic Pack Bundle MICROPHONE. Would i still need an interface? I have looked at others like studio 1 but there way outta my price range.

Thanks again for the quick response.

well get the demo and verify how it works. the demo is free so nothing lost but time.

I got this a couple years ago: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TU20TA/ and it's OK. Not great. It came with Ableton Live LE (lite version) which I don't use. The mixer is nice to have if you have other gear to record like guitar/turntables, etc. It comes with an audio device box that requires firewire but you don't need to use it. table stand but no shock mount IIRC.

Here is the little brother to the one above: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PARIZU/?tag=warbeats-20&

The samson ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H4HS72/?tag=warbeats-20& ) looks like it's a USB mic so you don't need a mixer and is probably a better mic.

Since recording is important to you, remember the most important thing about getting a good vocal recording is not always the mic, but the recordgin environment. Reverberation from the room and background noise (ambient, outside, computer fans, etc) are the biggest thing you need to control and the better the mic, the more it picks up these little noises.

You copuld probably do fine with a lesser model like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H4MZU2/?tag=warbeats-20&

But check out all the reviews you can. I am not an expert and honestly beyond my videos I rarely record audio so take it for what it's worth.

Studio one (despite it's young age) is a very capable DAW. It has devs that used to work with cubase for example working on it. I have not really had much time with it but it is like I said already a very nice program and will propably one get better with time.

Like most other DAWS, the workflow compared to FL is different. If you are familiar with some other DAWS outside of FL you will find it easier to get to grips with.

Studio One, the DAW, is amazing. I am using it since version one, and 'till today the i have not found a DAW that knocks it...recording, mixing n mastering-wise. Not my favourite to produce, but i do use it a lot togheter with Maschine, when i wanna add a guitar/bass/perc or vocals to the beat project i am doing.

Here is a May 2011 studio session with one of the dutch Hiphop artists i work with, my bro Sheppurd. Like in all my recording sessions, i used studio one to track n mix.

Another session using Studio One, with my bro Monta.

I would say give it a try, and you won't be disappointed.
