    so i got fl studio installed on my old (2006) bottom of the line pc with Realtek HD as the audio driver. every time I try to install asio, it says it installs and stays open in my programs in the bottom right corner of the screen, but the default audio driver is still realtek. i've tried deleting realtek and then installing asio but that doesn't produce any sound at all.

    but the real problem is this;

    when i'm making patterns in fl studio, fl will start playing a random percussion or a note from that instrument while that pattern is playing. and even if i turn all the channels in the pattern off, the random little tune will still continue to play.

    I am also having this issue where the playback will scratch on some instruments or recordings. particularly when the volume gets louder. i've tried changing the buffer and sample rates and so far no success.

    I've been watching nfxbeats videos for a while now and he was talking about this forum, so i thought one of you guys might be knowledgeable enough to help me

    Well, NC Parker, I think that you should scan your program for a virus, and try to reinstall the FL, then try it. If it doesant wofk then you must use your windows cd to reset your sound driver. When you finish that try reinstalling fl then, it should work fine..

    Do you have any effects open in the mixer?

    Were you useing samples when the sounds continued to play?

    What instruments were u useing?

    When you recorded,did you use the song or pattern to record?

    This is due to the fact that a Realtek HD sound card does not contain a built-in ASIO driver. You are using ASIO4All, I'm sure, in which case ASIO4All has no sound because it simply emulates ASIO on your physical sound card. ASIO4All is dependent on your sound card.

    Why not save for a real audio interface?

    Experienced a similar issue like yours. I was trying random percussion sounds but to no avail. Sooner or later, I learned that my sound card sucks and I need to replace a new one that would support my mix.
