There is a new checkbox option you will see when uploading a track for feedback, battles or track share. the option is to allow Warbeats to use your track under a creative common license.

This is NOT required.

Right now the only thing I have in mind are Warbeats mixtapes which will compile the best beats. These will be non commercial mixtapes used for promotional purposes only. I hope to get these released on sites like dat piff and others.

The license will be a creative commons non commercial, share-alike license with attribution which states that:

No one can use your work without giving you credit and no one can make money from your work. Also any thing they make has to be released using your track must be done under the same license.

This is entirely optional and the default is set to OFF.

If you would like to have your track used and promoted by Warbeats in the future, you should consider checking the box so I know it's a candidate.

Under U.S. Law your music is copyright the moment you render it. You are NOT legally obligated to register with the US Copyright office, but it helps in matters of legal dispute.

I know a lot of people are paranoid about protecting their copyrights, and rightfully so. If you are not prepared to allow us to use the track for promotion, then please do not check the box.

You are just licensing us to use the beat for NON-Commercial purposes. My hope is that we can start pushing out "beat tapes" and get some people a little shine. You are still free to sell the beat to others and do what you want. You still own full copyright. If these start to take off we might attract rappers and others to participate as well.

great question! I havent looked at the beats in a while. I'll see if I can get some time in the near future to get a lil something happening.

I'd like to be considered. Be nice if this came together, WB fo LYFE! lol

Do you notify us when you use one of the beats on the Mixtape?
