Part one and two of NFX creating a sampled beat, starting out by chopping the sample in Adobe Audition, moving all the way to the final stages of the beat creation in FL Studio.

I used Adobe Audition (Cool Edit) for a couple of years but never realized I could press F8 to set cue points like that. Oh well .
What is the first of those free VSTis called? Mba degrade? I can't find it.

Man! this tutorial showed me two things, 1. right clik on time stretch (say what), all this time I was spending on turning that nob matching up my samples to the beat was a royal pain in the neck. I was saying to myself, O C'mon there has to be a better way and well there it is. 2. Elastique (tonal) I had no idea on this one either, so like I said before, I am here to learn and let me just say, although I have not worked with other DAW's, the more I find out about the program the better I feel about the choice that I made in my first and last purchase of a DAW. NFX Thanks for this one homie!

At about 11:14 in Part 2 you made a copy of pattern 2 but in the new pattern all the other channels were zipped. How did you do that? It had to be a shortcut key because you didn't click anything.

That's wasup. Thank you Slliks!!!! I think when I get bored I'm gonna just poke around the FL options. I have been working with it for awhile and I am still learning stuff. Just started using the Time Marker today in the Playlist.

Thats cool... You can do all that with edison. Also if you want to detect the tempo to use the same tempo as from the sampled song. Use the same tab SMP for the channel settings right click on the samples wavelength pattern at the bottom and select detect tempo. You have to choose from certain ranges but its a pretty easy way to make sure before you start that the song you are making will be the same tempo from the sampled song.

Great Tutorial! I understand the "swing" feature now. Also Elastique (tonal) and right clicking the time nob will come in handy.

It's nice to see other people actually use Adobe Audition- I love that program I purchased the version 3 it had a nice sound and a nice interface but it was slow as hell- I instantly switched back to the old 2.1 love it.
