I'm liking that set up AGC. that's how you get them guitars to sound extra crispy and bright

Same..AGC that strat you have looks like a custom one I built. Strat Body, Tele Neck, Seymour Duncan 59' in the bridge position and a DiMarzio HS-3 in the rhythm position.

No tone control connected in my guitars and a 500k pot..  Higher the number on volume pot the more "crispy" tried a 1 Meg, too piercing.  I'm upgrading to some Dimarzio's in the white one soon and fender lace in the black one.

So one guitar will be a little more "heavy" sounding (Steve Vai and Stevie Ray Vaughn) than the other very bright and crispy one (more Robert Cray mellow but a little more bell like and glassy from the maple neck).

No tone knob either, I prefer 250k pots though. They sound more warm to me.

@ Ray, I agree they are warmer but I can always get more "warmth" from amp getting clean brighness back is a little harder, at least for me.

@ TR yeah, this is just one of my setups actually I actually have a ton of midi controllers all over the house on my other four computers. But as far as music theory... actually after you get past the mode and key thing theory is actually easier on guitar cause the fingerings are consistent from key to key.  I took enough piano to get by but I'm far from a keyboard "beast". I have taken enough theory to have a masters... but I have a bachelors in Economics not Music... a mistake on my part.  I should have done what I love instead of over thinking it.  Luckily those credits are still there and I can go back and take a language and get another degree in music as I should have in the first place, not sure I'm gonna stop at a Masters though, next time I go to school I want to make sure I can get a job I really want, teaching college classes would be dope.

I would like to say they look like that due to all the heavy beats I'm been making on them Ha Ha

Someone was throwing them out and I asked if I could have them ,since the photo was taken I've put in new woofer cones and cleaned them up .
