I'm really tired of getting bs ratings. So I really think that instead of just leaving a comment when you rate an instrumental, it should be broken down into sections. EXAMPLE:

Mix: Overall I think the mix is good, just turn down the hi hat. Its overbearing.

Sounds: I really love the bells. What I don't like is the kick. I feel it's too loud and robs your other synths.

Composition: Good job on your compo. No complaints there. But I would like to hear a breakdown.

Overall: Overall Its a pretty good track. Keep em coming. - Butta Beatz

Please take this into consideration. 'Preciate it. - Butta Beatz

Yea it used to be like that (similar) on the old WB but fyi the kick being too loud and robbing synth would go in mix hehe

I kind of agree about breaking it into section. Makes things abit more organized and helps promoting people to be less lazy on properly commenting on your music.

I agree with NFX about one point: People shouldnt be mad about low ratings and learn from their mistakes.

It's a balance. Most people HATE having to type anything. This is why I have defined the areas and you can see an overall average. If you get all low scores on mix, you have mix problems. Read the comments to see what is said about your mix.

Also, a lot of people may be able to identify a problem area, but not be able to express the way to fix it.

My goal is to have everyone participate and feel comfortable enough to rate your tracks. More text for each category would lead to more BS comments as people try to justify why they scored things. If you think the ratings are BS now, you are asking for 4 x BS.

And for the record I don't agree that they are BS. I have read a lot of comments that are very good and I think the system is working.

Is your opinion because you were scored low? If so, take a moment to understand what it means instead of complaining about it.

Nooooooo....The reason I asked for this is because. I came to this website to get feedback. NOT "Nice beat, but its not really my style. Good job". If people don't wanna give helpful feedback they shouldn't be on the site. I give useful tips and I expect the same. As for low scoring...I can give two sh*ts about that. Just as long as you tell me why you rated the way u did.

When you get good feedback, be sure to leave a thumbs up. That lets the rater know that his or her honest feedback was received and appreciated, and they would be more likely to leave "good feedback" more often. If your not happy with the feedback and feel it was BS then thumbs down. The more BS feeds people leave, the more thumbs down they get, the less they will be able to upload a track of their own.

A suggestion for the beat feedback system. I would like to see an option to refresh the beats needing feedback list. If I don't dig a particular track or in some cases all the ones on the list, I'd like to bring up other track needing feedback instead of having to rate one of the ones on the list in order to see some new ones. I don't mind giving feedback, but if I'm not into the track at all it feels like a chore. Maybe I'm just being too picky but it's an option I would like to see. If this is an option or something similar already exists sorry for not knowing about it.

I personally prefer the current feedback system. It's kinda pointless to have individual categories, considering sometimes the mix may be fine and there is no needed opinion, yet you'd still have a box you must fill in. I like being able to express myself freely, and not being limited to certain categories.
